This surge arrester is required when the loads to be protected are at a distance of more than 10 m from the incoming surge arrester. The Up Voltage protection level in common mode is 1.4kV between neutral and earth in type 2, and 1.1kV between neutral and earth in type 3. The Up Voltage protection level in differential mode (between phase and neutral) is 1kV in type 2, and 1.1kV in type 3. The Ue rated operational voltage is 230VAC +/- 10%.
