Schneider Electric Introduces the Altivar HVAC ATH600
Schneider Electric has introduced the Altivar HVAC ATH600, the latest generation of Variable Speed Drive (VSD) specifically designed for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) applications.
The ATH600 is introduced as the successor to the Altivar ATV212, which will reach the end of its commercial availability on December 31, 2026. Based on a modern platform derived from the Altivar Process (ATV600) architecture, the ATH600 offers flexible control, energy efficiency, connectivity, and modern cybersecurity features.
Designed for a Wide Range of HVAC Applications
The Altivar HVAC ATH600 supports a wide power range from 0.75 kW to 250 kW, with IP20 and IP55/UL Type 12 enclosure options to accommodate different application requirements.
The drive comes with dedicated HVAC functions, including:
- Run Permissive
- Fire Mode
- Scroll Compressor Functions
- Damper Control
- PID Controller
These functions provide flexible control for medium to large-scale heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Modern Connectivity and Cybersecurity
The ATH600 is designed to support increasingly connected HVAC systems. It features Modbus Serial and BACnet MS/TP connectivity, along with cybersecurity protection for integration with modern Building Management Systems (BMS).
Compared with the ATV212, the ATH600 also introduces several enhancements, including built-in Safe Torque Off (STO) SIL3, an enhanced HVAC function suite, and additional connectivity options such as BACnet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, and Ethernet/IP through available options.
Easy Integration with the Schneider Electric Ecosystem
For configuration and commissioning, SoMove software is available as a free download. The ATH600 can also integrate with Schneider Electric software solutions, including EcoStruxure Machine Expert, EcoStruxure Building Operation, and EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert.
With its combination of performance, dedicated HVAC functions, connectivity, and modern cybersecurity, the Altivar HVAC ATH600 is designed to support today's HVAC requirements while preparing installations for increasingly connected and integrated systems.
