An electric vehicle charger is a facility used to charge electric vehicles that functions as the main power source to charge electric vehicle batteries so that they can operate optimally and enable environmentally friendly mobility. An electric car charging station, or EVCS (Electric Vehicle Charging Station), or electric car battery charging station, is a place and equipment to recharge electric car batteries. The main function of an electric car charging station is to supply electrical energy to the car battery.

Electric car charger types :

• On-board charger.
  An on-board charger is a charger installed in a car. The charger is a component of the car system. The type of electricity that enters the car is alternating current (AC).
• Off-board charger.
  An offboard charger is a charger that is not included in the electric car system. The charger is outside the car system. For the purpose of recharging the battery, an external charger is required. Because the charger is outside, the type of electricity that enters the car is direct current (DC).

• Commercial Charging Stations

• Public Charging Stations

This type of electric car charging station is generally paid. This public charging station is referred to as a public electric charging station (SPLU). The Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia calls it a public electric vehicle charging station (SPKLU)
