An inductive proximity sensor is a detection device that has the function of detecting metal targets using electromagnetic energy and without contact. The detection range of the inductive proximity sensor can change based on the type of metal detected.
The way this inductive proximity sensor works is that it creates an electromagnetic field around the surface of the sensor to create a detection zone. Detection occurs, and the sensor lights up when a metal target in the vicinity of the sector disturbs the field and reaches the operating point. Then, the sensor will turn off when the target moves away from the sensor and reaches the release point.
Because non-metallic substances such as liquids or dirt will not interfere with detection, this device can be operated in wet and dirty conditions. With this, the device does not need to make physical contact with the target.
Telemecanique's Inductive Proximity Sensor is a sensor device that has the best quality and is immune to harsh industrial environments. By using Telemecanique's Inductive Proximity Sensor, you can detect any material without having to touch it.
If you need a device to detect metal objects up to 60 mm in size, you can use the Inductive Sensor from Telemecanique, which has the latest features and high technological performance.
Inductive Proximity Sensor Telemecanique is used to detect metal objects up to 60 mm in size. Basically, this device consists of an oscillator whose winding is the detection surface. An alternating magnetic field is generated in front of this coil.
When a metal object is placed in the magnetic field generated by the sensor, the induced current will create an additional load, and the oscillations will stop. This will cause the driver output to operate, and a normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) signal output will be produced, depending on the sensor type.
Telemecanique's Inductive Proximity Sensors come in flush and non-flush versions, short and long body versions, as well as PNP and NPN versions to be compatible with all PLCs and controllers worldwide. Then, there are also 2 cable DC, AC, or AC/DC versions available for installation in applications as limit switches.
